Biography
I am a Colorado native who began my trial and legal counseling practice in Grand Junction, Colorado in 1990. Initially, I defended numerous misdemeanor and felony criminal cases including theft, burglary, criminal mischief and assault cases. My practice also included many different types of civil claims including personal injury cases, contract disputes, family law and regulatory issues. After several years on the western slope, I returned to Denver, Colorado as staff counsel at Pinnacol Assurance in Denver, Colorado defending workers compensation claims.
In 2001, I relocated to Louisiana and continued my career in insurance claims investigation and defense involving maritime accidents and injuries, fraud and theft claims and civil rights claims. I also investigated many fatal auto accident and catastrophic farm equipment products liability claims. I returned to Denver in 2010 joining the Elder Law and Trust & Estate sections of the Colorado Bar Association. In 2014, I opened a full service transactional and civil litigation law office in Del Norte, Colorado. Since 2018, this law firm has focused on estate planning, probate administration and litigation, accepting private fiduciary cases, adult protection and real estate cases.
